Needle Footprint: What is that?
Look at the "footprint" of the 9 point magnum needle below when used full width (1); then used two needle wide (2); then making loops (3) and finally going straight into the skin at a 90º angle. Each needle has a unique footprint and when you understand this, you will be able to do better work and also work faster. People laugh when I tell them I use the #9 point magnum to do eyeliner but when I explain that it can be used on it's narrow edge (eyeliner, eyebrow hairstrokes and lipliner too) and it's only two needles wide they start to understand.
